Dr. Marcel Reichart

Curious about the future and who makes it.

My name is Marcel Silvester Reichart and I live with my wife in Munich.

Professionally, I am Managing Director DLD Media & Ventures at Hubert Burda Media and co-founded the Digital Life Design (DLD) Conference with Stephanie Czerny.

In 2002, I joined Burda as Chief of Staff Dr. Hubert Burda and later was Director Business Development and Managing Director Research & Development. Marketing & Communications at Hubert Burda Media. Before I co-built the European media incubator Venturepark as well as its investments. During my doctorate, I worked as associate to former German Federal Minister of Economy Dr. Otto Graf Lambsdorff and to Roland Oetker. From 1994-97, I studied corporate management, political science and history Koblenz (WHU), Lyon, Washington D.C. and Rome.

In 2005, I was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and am a Member of the Global Agenda Council for Marketing and Branding. Also, I was a scholar of the German National Merrit Foundation, a Young Leader of the Atlantik-Brücke and a founding member of the New Media Council of the Free Democratic Party in Germany.

Also, I am a regular speaker and panellist at international conferences, e.g. Les Blogs, Medientage München, London School of Economics, SIME, OPA and have been guest tutor at Technical University Munich. I am a Board Advisor of Glam Media, a Board Member of Scienceblogs and Supervisory Board Member of Sevenload.

In addition to this blog, I write articles (FOCUS Online, CICERO, ...) e.g. on the future trends in media, digital media and branding, neuroscience, eco-business & lifestyle.

I am married to Annette Pawlu. In my leasure time, I like doing sports and music.
